Carey graduated from Brenau University in 2012 with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She has experience working in outpatient pediatrics, acute care, telehealth, school system, post-acute rehab, and home health. She is also a Certified Living In Place Professional (CLIPP) and an Evergreen Certified Dementia Care Specialist (ECDCS). She and her family reside in Dawsonville.

Robin is a retired educator with 28 years experience. Her roles as an educator included classroom teacher and administrator at the middle school and high school levels. During her time as an educator, she was chosen as National Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year for the National Association of Middle School Principals (NAMSP).

Prior to her educational experience, she served as a social worker with the Forsyth County Department of Family and Children Services (DCFS) for 9 years. She and her family reside in Cumming.
