Carey graduated from Brenau University in 2012 with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She has experience working in outpatient pediatrics, acute care, telehealth, school system, post-acute rehab, and home health. She is also a Certified Living In Place Professional (CLIPP) and an Evergreen Certified Dementia Care Specialist (ECDCS). She and her family reside in Dawsonville.
